Things took a turn when I entered a school competition in the cake category. That cake ended up winning first prize, judged by none other than Dr. Simrat Kathuria and Chef Harpal Singh Sokhi. That moment? That’s when the seed was planted.

After 10th grade, I started hunting for serious baking courses in Ludhiana — but nothing really clicked. So, I headed to Delhi and did my first proper baking course. One class turned into many, including a Wedding Cake Masterclass that completely transformed how I saw cakes. I dived deeper into pastries too. And mind you — baking wasn’t even my academic field.

Last year, I trained in Singapore under Winnifred, famously known as the Queen of Wafer Paper Flowers. That course sharpened my skills to a whole new level.

Over time, my work started getting recognised — from being named in the Top 10 Cake Artists in India by Cake Masters UK Magazine, to winning Rising Star – North, and even finishing as Runner-Up on Zee TV’s Baker Studio, judged by Chef Ranveer Brar and Amrita Raichand.

But nothing was planned.

One day, I got a random call from a girl who wanted to learn privately, one-on-one. I agreed. During that class, while mixing colours for a cake, a soft green shade appeared — completely unplanned — and it just clicked. That shade went on to become my signature cake colour.

Then came the real test — launching my first ever group class. Honestly, I wasn’t even sure one batch would sell. But within half a day, not one but three batches were sold out.

Since then, I’ve taught over 4000 students — 2000+ offline and 1500+ online, with students traveling from Singapore, Nepal, and Bangladesh just to learn in person.

We’ve conducted batches across Ludhiana, Chandigarh, Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Amritsar, Jaipur, Bangalore, Pune, and Hyderabad, with 15–16 batches per city in the last two years. Each batch is intimate — just 12 students — because I believe in personal attention and quality over quantity.

What started as a schoolboy’s hobby is now a growing studio, a teaching platform, and most importantly — a community. I didn’t follow a traditional path, but I followed passion. And it’s taken me (and my cakes) further than I ever imagined.
